The Album cover

Justin Bieber's new album has been rejected in the middle East because of the symbol of Jesus Christ tattooed on his chest, two things that just won't fly in the Middle East.

According to TMZ ... Bieber's "Purpose" album is been rejected in several Middle Eastern countries, as well as Indonesia -- predominantly Muslim regions. Reasons in twofold: Justin being shirtless, and the cross tattoo on his chest.

Still unclear what image will be on the redesigned art cover.
